Put here on 7th Sept 2015. "Key Open" can help when you have concerns about crime. There is crime everywhere in towns and cities all over the world. Educational campuses and buildings are generally very safe from crime though some campuses have more open accesses to the general public. However heavy use of CCTV cameras and security guards help to prevent crime.

It is estimated that a third of students become victims of crime, mainly theft and burglary, and about 20 per cent of student robberies occur in the first six weeks of the academic year (laptop, money, iPhone etc.)

Official data for crimes affecting students are not available, so the Complete University Guide has selected three crimes as most relevant to students, namely burglary, robbery and assault. The ranking is based on the cumulative rate of all three crimes.
